A welcoming group in Burngreave organises various events and has a presence local events about sustainability issues.

Events

Burngreave Apple Day, Sunday the 25th October
The Friends of Burngreave Cemetery and Chapels with local Permaculture Ass.members will be pruning existing apple trees and planting more around the adventure playground next door. Julian Brandran will be bringing a variety of apples and information about them to display. There will also be seed swapping, pumpkin carving, an exhibition about climate change and a soup and apple pie lunch. Everyone is welcome.

Permaculture Design Course
Oct 2009 - Mar 2010 Occasional weekends and weekday evenings Led by: Angus Soutar and Saleema Imam Summary: 80 hour course, theoretical and practical, working towards designing and creating edible landscapes in and around 2 local inner city schools with the local transition town group You can take the whole certificate or sign up for individual weekends.
