About the festival

Peace in the Park is being held at the Ponderosa this year (see map). The festival is a culturally diverse event which has been held previously on Devonshire Green, in Endcliffe Park and at The General Cemetery, Sharrow.   The aim of the festival is to promote peace and understanding through artistic, musical and vocal expression. There will be a live stage, an open mic stage, kids area, an improvisation and jam space, healing area, video tent and various ethical food outlets.   All profits and collections on the day will go to our nominated charities . Last year’s festival raised almost £3000 for Ben’s Centre, Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline and Art in the Park.

Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers, coming together in a not for profit collective. We are working hard to bring together communities and deliver a powerful message of peace through positive creative action.

Details for Stallholders

Site Access: As this is our first year at the Ponderosa we are still working out the best way to organize access to the site. We are working with the Park Manager and the Police in order to do this and will have all site access details shortly. I will email that information to you. No vehicles will be left on site (exceptions will only be made for vans supplying food). Cars must leave site by 10am. There will be help and equipment to move goods etc onto the site. Please arrive on site by 9.30 am. Stalls need to be set-up by 10.30 am.

Stallholders are not permitted to sell cigarettes or alcohol. If you require rain cover or electricity, you must provide your own safety regulated gazebos or generators. Electrical equipment must be PAT tested.  Peace in the Park cannot provide power for any stall holders. Tables are available if required for an additional charge of £5.

Food Stalls:  All food stalls must be registered with the Council and have separate public liability insurance cover. We will need to have a photocopy of your Food Hygiene Certificate.  You are responsible for taking your rubbish away after the festival.  There will be recycling points on site.

As with previous years we will allocate stalls on a first-come-first-serve basis.  The deadline for requests is Friday 22th May. We will acknowledge successful applications by sending/emailing a receipt and a pitch number.
