Is there an update on transition conference? We don't know.

Steve to send e-mail about Burngreave meeting on Tuesday.

1 Any proposed changes to statement of aims?

There are 7 principles in transition network document - these are to be discussed at Heeley group meeting next week.

Chris read out the hub aims brought forward at last meeting.

Suzanne suggested merging hub aims with 7 principles.

Chris has edited the existing principles accordingly.

Suzanne now has written 5 principles.[1]

2 Hub group membership process

craig suggested the primary role of the hub is to realise a common vision.

another suggestion was that members of other groups should at least be able to observe so they can pick up this vision.

Jenny mentioned the difference between a functional group whereby jobs need doing by perhaps a fixed group.

Conclusion is that anyone can observe and a list of names will be put forward at some stage.

3 Announcement list - what should be on it?

Steve just sending out transition sheffield e-mails but if it co-incides with something related (say climate change march) then these will be added.

4 Money for up-coming film festival/treasurer?

• Chris and Steve have formed a separate film group, which anyone can attend. They are looking at alternating between Meersbrook and Nether Edge every 2 weeks.
• Jenny to look into opening a bank account and be the treasurer.

5 Is it possible to make the web forum more accessible? Jenny asked Chris to review the password type to make it easier to get on to the forum. Steve suggested that there should be an anonymous messaging facility.

6 Craig to start a Facebook group.

7 Any other business

• Chris said a good e-mail has been received from Grow Sheffield and we should respond. He read the e-mail which indicated a strong desire for Grow Sheffield to work with Transition Sheffield.
• Suzanne to respond in full to the e-mail and suggest a meeting. Will try to get the meeting in before Grow Sheffield AGM on Feb. 10th.
